Once you’ve scheduled your first appointment, everything you need will be sent to you. Your welcome pack will be sent via email and it contains the information you’ll need to know ahead of your appointment. It also helps me to be prepared for our first meeting so that I can get to know you without the pressure to complete the paperwork packet as well.
Expect to receive:
Practice Policies
Informed Consent
Notice of Privacy Practice
Intake Questionnaire
-
You’ll be sent a link to the same email address where you received your welcome pack, so anywhere within Kansas or Texas that you can access your email is a place you can do therapy. All you need to do is click and go! Of course, I recommend that you take advantage of a private, quiet space so you can feel comfortable during our sessions.

I do offer a sliding scale for some clients. Payment can be made securely through IvyPay.
-
I do not accept insurance at this time, but I am happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
-
I understand that life happens, so if you need to cancel or change your appointment, you’re free to do so for any reason up to 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, my fee schedule for cancellations is:
Within 24 hours, up to 30 minutes before: $30
Within 30 minutes or without notice (no-show): Full fee
Why don’t therapists accept insurance?
At New Day Therapy, we understand the importance of affordability and accessibility to mental health care. While many therapists accept insurance, we have chosen not to for several reasons:
-
Insurance companies require a diagnosis to cover therapy costs, which becomes a part of your medical record. By not involving insurance, we can maintain the highest level of privacy and confidentiality for our clients.
-
Without insurance restrictions, we can tailor your treatment plan to your specific needs, rather than being limited by what insurance companies deem necessary or acceptable.
-
By eliminating the administrative burdens associated with insurance, we can devote more time and attention to providing you with the best possible care and support.
-
We believe in transparent pricing, so you know exactly what to expect without the confusion of insurance copays, deductibles, and coverage limitations.
While we do not accept insurance, we offer competitive self-pay rates and can provide you with a superbill for potential reimbursement from your insurance company, if applicable.
